Bus to the Itabaca-Channel

Here, you will find the Lobito Bus service ready to transport passengers to the Itabaca Channel, which separates Baltra Island from Santa Cruz Island. Acquire your bus ticket at the designated counter; the fare is $5 per person. Ensure your luggage is securely placed in the storage compartments provided by the bus service. The journey to the Itabaca Channel is brief, approximately 10 minutes, offering a glimpse of Baltra's unique landscape.
Ferry to Santa Cruz
Upon arrival at the Itabaca Channel, you will embark on a ferry to cross to Santa Cruz Island. Operated by the local government, this ferry charges $1 per person. Prior to boarding, assist the ferry staff in placing your luggage on the vessel's roof, ensuring its safety during the crossing. The ferry ride is short, typically around 5 to 10 minutes, during which you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding waters.
Transfer to Puerto Ayora
Upon setting foot on Santa Cruz Island, you have two primary transportation options to reach Puerto Ayora. You can take the Public Bus for $5 per person. Purchase tickets from the kiosk immediately after disembarking the ferry. The bus journey traverses the island's diverse landscapes and takes approximately 45 minutes. The Bus stops at the Terminal Terrestre, from which you can take a Taxi to bring you to the hotel. Or you can use a Taxi Service for $25 to $30 per vehicle, accommodating up to four passengers. Taxis, typically white pickup trucks, are readily available at the dock. The taxi ride offers a more private experience and drops you off directly at the hotel. It also lasts about 45 minutes.
